Wednesday, April 25, 2007: Euthanasia
On Wednesday, April 25th Peter Marshall, author and lecturer, will be
presenting his views on the vital humanist subject of dying with dignity. He
will discuss euthanasia and doctor assisted suicide.

Wednesday, March 28, 2007: “Can We Be Good Without God”
“Can We Be Good Without God” is a video documentary, based on Robert Buckman’s book of the same name, exploring ethics in a secular society. An open discussion of the ideas in the video will follow the video.

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007: Pre-Darwin Ideas of Evolution: The Evolution of Evolution
Shawn P. Conroy discusses early ideas about evolution from before Darwin’s “The Origins of Species”, and how they are at the root of modern misunderstandings of evolution by the public.

Wednesday, January 31, 2007: Want to Get Strung Out on String Theory?
Beyond having 10 dimensions, our Universe may be far weirder than anyone imagines! String theory is a Theory of Everything, and Paul Bassett will explain Everything in a way everyone can understand. Paul is an inventor, author, teacher, and public speaker, as well as an avid futurist. His presentations are entertaining and informative.
