Good day everyone!

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Monika Havelka from the University of Toronto will be joining us yet again on Monday, November 5th, 2012. She will be discussing abiogenesis  the origins of life. Dr. Havelka’s usual interesting and fun presentations are always educational and entertaining. We have experience her delightful delivery of topics from evo-devo (hox genes) through reproduction (why sex?) to aging (is death preventable?). This coming month we will go back to the start of all life on earth and see what modern biology has to say on the subject.

We will be eating at McReiley’s Pub on Dunlop St just after 5PM. I’ll be parking at the Library and walking down to the pub. We welcome any member and guest to join us.
