Beware of Militant Atheists!

On Wednesday the 26th Richard Dawkins will be presenting his views on Militant Atheism. This entertaining and thought provoking video will be followed by an open discussion on to topics raised in it. The Central Ontario Humanist Association meets on the last Wednesday of the month at 7PM in the Community Room on the second floor of Zehrs at Big Bay Point Road and Yonge Street. Artificial Life

Our Wednesday, September 24 presentation is about a whole new world, virtually: “Can we create new life out of our digital universe?” Craig Venter asks. His answer is “yes” — and pretty soon. He walks through his latest research and promises that we’ll soon be able to build and boot up a synthetic chromosome. A Magician’s Perspective on Susceptibility
